On March 6, 2023, Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov visited the Sarov federal nuclear center, overseeing operations at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Experimental Physics. During this visit, he engaged with leadership from the nuclear center and military management, assessing capabilities in digital, supercomputing, and laser technologies, along with pulsed techniques. Belousov was presented with advanced research conducted on unique test facilities, including a laser test site.
