NASA’s Crew-10 mission is set to launch on March 12, 2024, utilizing the Crew Dragon capsule “Endurance,” which has previously completed three orbital flights. The decision to switch to this capsule was finalized in late January after encountering minor production issues with a new capsule. The Crew-10 crew includes Roscosmos cosmonaut Kirill Peskov and NASA astronauts Anne McClain, Nicole Ayrs, and Takuyya Onishi, all departing from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This flight will contribute to ongoing operations aboard the International Space Station (ISS), where cosmonaut Alexander Gorbunov and astronauts Nick Hague, Sunita Williams, and Barry Wilmore will return mid-March. The operational adjustments demonstrate adaptability within NASA’s commercial flight program, ensuring mission timelines remain on schedule despite prior setbacks, underscoring the mission’s critical role in maintaining a continuous human presence in low Earth orbit.
