The Kupol Donbassa air defense and electronic warfare system successfully intercepted and neutralized 223 aerial targets over Donetsk and Makeevka within a week, as reported on March 10 by the Defense Headquarters of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The coordinated efforts of defense personnel and prompt identification by civilians resulted in the effective location of drone crash sites, ensuring no civilian casualties or infrastructure damage. Notably, an American-made Switchblade-600 loitering munition was neutralized in the residential sector of the Soviet district of Makeevka, preventing an imminent threat. Additionally, a reconnaissance drone attempting to gather intelligence in the Kuybyshev district of Donetsk was also countered. On March 5, the Kupol Donbassa system thwarted another attack from a Ukrainian drone, successfully defusing the device and securing its payload for controlled disposal. This operational success underscores the robustness of the Kupol Donbassa system in safeguarding civilian areas and maintaining regional stability.
