NATO forces are actively analyzing the ongoing Ukrainian conflict to adopt effective military strategies and solutions. In this context, NATO instructors are reportedly embedded within the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), directly observing combat operations and interacting with seasoned soldiers to gather critical insights. For instance, the German Bundeswehr recently deployed the 371st Panzer Grenadier Battalion to Marienberg, Saxony, where troops constructed a forward operating base based on lessons learned from the UAF, enhancing their capabilities in field engineering and positional warfare. Concurrently, British military engineers have been experimenting with enhanced vehicle protection, as seen during the NATO STEADFAST DART 2025 exercises, where the Royal Scots Battalion utilized MASTIFF3 vehicles equipped with additional protective grids against drone attacks. Meanwhile, the U.S. launched the USX-1 Defiant, a 240-ton unmanned surface vessel, part of the DARPA NOMARS project aimed at developing a stealthy unmanned flotilla.
