The “Maritime Security Belt – 2025” naval exercise commenced at the Iranian port of Chabahar, featuring participation from naval forces of Russia, Iran, and China. This operation involves Russian Navy vessels, specifically the corvettes “Rezkiy” and “Geroi Rossiiskoi Federatsii Al’dar Tsidenzhapov,” along with the medium sea tanker “Pechenga” from the Pacific Fleet. The exercise, organized by Iran, represents the seventh iteration, first held in the Arabian Sea in 2018, and includes approximately 15 ships, support vessels, and combat boats, as well as marine aviation helicopters. Over several days, the participating crews will conduct missions focusing on the liberation of seized vessels, search and rescue at sea, and engage in artillery firing exercises against maritime and aerial targets.
