The new manufacturing facility at ODK-Kuznetsov in Samara has been commissioned to enhance production capabilities for advanced power plant components, specifically targeting the domestic gas transportation infrastructure. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the facility supports a full manufacturing cycle from raw materials to complete gas turbine engine assemblies. Key products include turbine wheels and nozzle systems for both aviation and industrial power applications. Notably, the new workshop is integral to the production of the NK-36ST industrial gas turbine engines, each rated at 32 megawatts, designed to replace imported equipment in the oil and gas sector. With over 90% of the investment program aimed at equipment import substitution successfully implemented, the expansion significantly boosts domestic production capacity. Utilizing advanced milling and turning centers, cylindrical and flat grinding machines, along with automated welding complexes, the facility’s streamlined production and quality control processes promise improved product quality and increased output. This strategic initiative not only reinforces Russia’s technological independence in the energy sector but also ensures a reliable supply of critical industrial engines for key infrastructure projects.
