The T-72B3M tank of the Southern Military District, operating near the town of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, successfully repelled nearly twenty attacks from Ukrainian FPV drones. Equipped with the innovative “Meduza” wire mesh protection system, the tank effectively mitigated drone threats while in motion, as confirmed by the repair company commander. This system is known for its operational efficiency in counteracting FPV drone strikes, allowing for rapid replacement of damaged components even in proximity to frontline engagements. Following extensive hostile attempts, the T-72B3M is now undergoing scheduled maintenance to restore its combat readiness. These modernized tanks, an advanced variant of the T-72 series originally adopted by the Soviet Union in the mid-1980s, have demonstrated their strategic value by successfully neutralizing multiple Ukrainian strongpoints in recent operations.
