United Launch Alliance (ULA) is set to conduct multiple launches of its Vulcan Centaur heavy-lift rocket in 2025, as confirmed by CEO Tory Bruno. ULA has projected 11 Vulcan launches in support of U.S. national security, although the rocket has yet to receive certification from the U.S. Space Force. Bruno reported a robust launch capacity, mentioning the availability of around six Vulcan rockets and over a dozen Atlas V rockets, along with several solid rocket boosters. Despite current scheduling challenges, with many missions likely to be delayed, ULA’s strategic positioning emphasizes preparedness to advance its launch capabilities. By planning up to 20 total heavy launches, including both Atlas V and Vulcan, ULA aims to assert its dominance in the defense launch market, addressing critical national security needs and reinforcing its competitive edge amidst evolving aerospace demands.
