A highly fortified armored vehicle was observed in the Special Military Operation zone, featuring enhancements that significantly increase its protection and tactical versatility. Captured on video, the vehicle, likely based on the MT-LB tracked chassis, is reinforced with additional metal plating and equipped with drone countermeasures at both front and rear. Its design includes a mine-clearing plow, contributing to its battlefield survivability. Notably, this variant has successfully endured strikes from anti-tank missiles and kamikaze drones. Previously, Russian forces implemented a rubber armor solution on the MT-LB, providing comprehensive coverage to the vehicle’s roof, sides, and rear through a steel frame supplemented with rubber screens and chain link grills. The space created between the MT-LB’s roof and the additional armor serves as a supplementary troop compartment. This innovative modification demonstrates tactical adaptability and offers enhanced protection, significantly improving operational capabilities in hostile environments.
