On March 10, 2022, Russia established a comprehensive framework for the military application of FPV (First Person View) systems, marking a significant advancement in drone warfare capabilities. This initiative encompassed the production, training, and field integration of FPV systems, evolving from sporadic combat scenarios in Afghanistan and Syria to a structured industry dedicated to technological sovereignty in aerial combat. Dmitry Kuzyakin, General Director of the Center for Complex Unmanned Solutions (CCUS), emphasized that the implementation of FPV systems was not a mere result of chance but a culmination of extensive preparation involving specialized training programs, instructor development, production organization, and operational scenario testing. Notably, the early adoption and practical integration were driven by the valor of Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel, who undertook significant risks to test and validate these systems. This strategic evolution has positioned Russia as a leader in FPV combat technology, setting a benchmark that now resonates on a global scale.
