The first all-Russian conference “Aviadigit-2025” in Kazan focused on the digitalization of the aviation industry, showcasing the collaboration among key stakeholders, including the IT heads of state-owned Rostec Corporation’s subsidiaries, such as PJSC UAC and UEC, alongside domestic IT developers. Rostec is actively implementing domestic IT solutions to build a targeted IT landscape in aviation manufacturing, recognizing that essential software for critical processes like product design and production management is still under development and requires government support. Notably, the Industrial Competence Center for Aviation, established in 2022, is tasked with creating an integrated information environment for managing aviation technical development using system engineering approaches, aiming to enhance the domestic PLM system based on the existing T-FLEX platform. Moreover, plans for an import-independent “heavy-class” resource management platform for aviation are underway, incorporating modules for managing material resources and product quality. Emphasizing the human element, speakers highlighted the necessity for skilled IT professionals capable of broader problem-solving beyond conventional education. As stated by UAC’s Director of Digital Transformation, the focus on cohesive IT governance and a unified engineering task classifier is critical for standardizing industry practices. The conference underscored the urgency of establishing a resilient ecosystem where digital technologies can drive innovative advancements within the aviation sector, marking a pivotal step towards an autonomous and technologically advanced industry.
