RKK Energia has commenced dynamic testing of a prototype for its new satellite, as reported by the National Technology Initiative’s project support fund. The prototype has successfully undergone vibration resistance checks at various stages and has demonstrated high-quality mechanical assembly capabilities. These tests are expected to conclude by the end of this year, with the satellite launch slated for 2027. The satellite is designed to operate in a low Earth orbit at an altitude of 500 meters, capable of capturing imagery of the Earth’s surface with a resolution of 0.5 meters per pixel. As of December, Russia ranks third globally in the rapid development of its national space group, comprising 288 operational satellites. This advancement reinforces Russia’s strategic position in the field of aerospace technology and satellite deployment.
