The creation of the Council of Leading Scientific and Educational Organizations by Rostec aims to enhance collaboration between academia and industry, focusing on the development of innovative technological solutions in aerospace, microelectronics, energy engineering, and medical device manufacturing. This initiative involves prominent universities, including Lomonosov Moscow State University and Bauman Moscow State Technical University, and encompasses joint research and development (R&D) efforts to facilitate technology transfer from academic institutions to the production sector. Key objectives include addressing the skills gap in the economy and increasing the appeal of engineering careers among youth. Rostec plans to attract 150,000 specialists by 2028, with a significant emphasis on training engineers through a seamless educational pathway from schools to universities and enterprises. Additionally, a pilot project on production PhD programs will tailor curricula to meet industrial needs. The establishment of this Council is poised to act as a catalyst for synergizing technological advancement and workforce development, significantly enhancing national security and industrial capability.
