The crew of the Baltic Fleet’s small missile ship “Naro-Fominsk,” equipped with Kalibr and Onyx cruise missiles, successfully conducted artillery drills on March 13, utilizing 100-mm A-190 and 30-mm AK-630M-2 gun systems. During the exercises, the crew engaged unmanned boats and aerial threats by targeting designated mock-ups that represented enemy drones and surface vessels. All targets were confirmed neutralized, demonstrating effective engagement capabilities. In addition to the artillery exercises, the crew performed essential tasks related to mine protection and damage control strategies during maritime combat scenarios. The “Naro-Fominsk,” part of the Project 21631 “Buyan-M” small missile ship class, is a versatile “river-sea” vessel fitted with advanced armament systems, allowing it to operate effectively in shallow waters and respond to various threats. The successful completion of these drills underscores the vessel’s operational readiness and highlights its critical role in enhancing the fleet’s defense capabilities against diverse maritime threats.
